Carbine Level 1 is the perfect way to get up to speed quickly and equips you to exhibit proficiency in a very short period of time. Furthermore, it sets the student up nicely to move on to Carbine Level 2, which embraces shooting on the move, engaging multiple targets, and more.

Class time is 4 hours. Requirements At least 200 – 250 rounds. Ammunition is available for purchase at checkout and in class. A sporting rifle (AR, AK, or equivalent). Rentals are available. Eye and ear protection. Electronic ear protection preferred; also available for purchase in class.

Joseph Shahoud has been a firearm enthusiast and an advocate of personal defense his entire adult life. He believes no one should ever be a victim and strives to make a difference one student at a time. He is an NRA Certified Firearms Instructor with certifications in NRA Basic Pistol Shooting and NRA Home Firearms Safety, and holds the required certification by SLED to teach and administer South Carolina Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP) classes. Where is the Class Held?

The classroom and range portions of the class are held at a clean and professional classroom/range in either Lexington off of Hwy 378 or the South Congaree area off of Fish Hatchery Road. Both locations are appx 20 minutes from downtown Columbia. We do not post the exact address here because we do not accept walk-ins. You must pre-register and as soon as you sign up you will be given the exact address here and via email.

How Do I Apply For My CCW License After the Class?

After the class, you will walk out with a class completion certificate signed by the instructor. From there you just need to visit your county sheriff’s office and apply. Don’t worry. We’ll give you detailed instructions and set you up before you leave the class.
