2021: Nevada Will No Longer Honor South Carolina Concealed Handgun License

Concealed carriers with permits issued in Florida, Mississippi, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Virginia will no longer be allowed to carry their handgun in the state of Nevada. The change will go into effect as of July First, 2021.

In particular, Nevada, Reno, and Las Vegas are popular vacation destinations, so this is sure to affect many concealed carriers in South Carolina.

Reciprocity and gun laws change more than we may think. It is always essential to know the laws of the states you plan on visiting. The best one-stop shop for reciprocity and state-specific gun and self-defense law is undoubtedly our book Legal Boundaries By State.

It is available as a hard copy and digital copy. The digital copy is regularly updated when laws change, and you get free access to the digital copy if you purchase the physical book. You won’t find a more comprehensive and up-to-date resource.
